LENZ-works is now authoring and delivering stunning high definition in Blu-ray format. Yes, the war is officially over and Blu-ray is the winner! Our tech team is diving into the new medium of delivery and we are seeing some stunning results. The image quality is superb and the stability of the format and its functionality is impressive. We have discovered some interesting twists and turns with the authoring as well. Senior editor and DVD programmer Christian Nelson; “The mixing of frame rates presents an interesting challenge with Blu-ray. Within a given project, the platform only supports one consistent frame rate for all the assets. Consequently we’ve had to figure out some new ways to convert frame rates and still make them look great on a 1080 HD screen.”
Blu-ray also changes the way menus are designed, look and function. But all this is a good thing… because the final product looks AMAZING!

This can’t be the case, because I have Blu-ray discs with both 1080p24 and 1080i60 content on the same disc. If your player is sending the content out at the native encoded rate, it takes a couple of seconds for the TV to resync, though it doesn’t if your player is outputing everything at one frame rate eg. 1080p60.
